You Can Ride. But Something’s Not Clicking.

You’ve been kitesurfing for a while. You can ride upwind, maybe even do some fundamental transitions. But progress has stalled. You watch videos, try things on the water, and nothing seems to stick.

The problem isn’t effort. It’s visibility.

You can’t see what you’re doing wrong. You can’t feel the difference between your attempt and the correct technique. And without expert eyes on your riding — with the ability to diagnose and communicate fixes in real time — you’re just reinforcing the same mistakes.

The Kook Proof Progression & Technique program changes that equation.

Video Analysis That Shows You the Gap

We film your riding and review it together. You’ll see exactly what’s happening versus what you think is happening.

A side-by-side comparison with the correct technique makes the fix obvious. Once you can see the problem, you can feel the difference.

Real-Time Radio Correction

Throughout your session, you wear a BBTalkin headset. Your coach provides corrections while you’re riding — not after you’ve repeated the mistake five more times.

“Edge harder now.” “Send the kite earlier.” “Eyes on your landing.” Immediate feedback creates immediate improvement.

Is This Program Right for You?

This program is designed for riders who can already ride independently and want to:

Plateau Breakers

You’ve been riding for a year or more. You can go upwind and maybe do fundamental transitions, but you’ve hit a wall. Progress has stalled despite regular sessions. You need expert eyes to identify what’s holding you back.

Skill Seekers

You have a specific goal: learn to jump, master toeside, nail transitions, or ride waves. You’ve watched tutorials but can’t translate what you see into what you do. You want targeted coaching on precisely what you’re trying to learn.

Technique Refiners

You can do the moves, but they feel rough. Your transitions work, but aren’t smooth. Your jumps land but lack control. You want to polish what you already do and make it feel effortless.

Bad Habit Fixers

You learned without proper instruction and developed habits that now limit you: poor edge control, incorrect kite positioning, and inefficient body mechanics. You need to unlearn and rebuild with the correct technique.

Why Kook Proof Riders Break Through Faster

Video Analysis Every Session

We record your riding from the rescue boat. During breaks, you’ll watch your attempts side by side with the correct technique. This visual feedback closes the gap between what you think you’re doing and what’s actually happening. Most riders have a breakthrough moment the first time they see themselves on video.

Radio Communication Throughout

Unlike beginner lessons, where radio comes at the end, progression coaching uses radio from the start. You’re already riding — now you need real-time correction. “Send earlier.” “Hold the edge.” “Look over your shoulder.” Instant feedback means instant iteration. You don’t wait until shore to learn what went wrong.

Rescue Boat for Maximum Practice Time

Learning new skills means crashing—a lot. Without boat support, half your session is swimming and walking back upwind. With the rescue boat, we reset you quickly after each attempt. More attempts per hour means faster learning. Your 90 minutes are riding time, not recovery time.

Understanding-Based Progression

We don’t just show you what to do. We explain:

  • Why the technique works (physics and biomechanics)
  • When to use it (wind, water, and timing conditions)
  • How to self-diagnose when it doesn’t work

You leave each session not just having practiced, but understanding what you practiced. This is how skills stick.

Video You Keep

You receive clips from your session to review at home. Watch your progression over multiple sessions. Reference the correct technique before your next session.

World Champion Experience

The same coaching methodology that developed World Champions. Now applied to your specific goals, adapted from elite training for recreational progression.

Private 1:1 Focus

Every minute of your session is about your progression—no group dynamics. No waiting. Your goals, your pace, your breakthrough.

Skills You Can Master

Each session focuses on your specific goals. Here’s what we can work on together:

Skill Area

Transitions — From Clunky to Fluid

Stop-and-go turns, sinking turns, edge-to-edge direction changes, and smooth carving transitions. We fix common issues: losing power mid-transition, falling during the turn, kite timing, body position problems, and weight distribution errors.

Skill Area

Jumping — Safe, Controlled, Progressive

Pop and small jumps, building height progressively, edge load and pop timing, kite send mechanics, and safe landing technique. Higher jumps with control: redirecting the kite in the air, float time extension, controlled descent, and downloop landings. We fix: no lift despite good speed, uncontrolled rotation, hard landings, inconsistent height, and fear management.

Skill Area

Toeside Riding — Your Weak Side, Strengthened

Toeside fundamentals: body position, edge pressure and balance, kite positioning differences. Toeside upwind: maintaining edge pressure on your toes, upwind angle while toeside, building comfort and duration. We fix: catching edges, losing balance, drifting downwind, discomfort and fatigue, and inconsistent body position.

Skill Area

Wave Riding — Esposende’s Natural Playground

Reading waves: understanding wave patterns, timing your approach, selecting which waves to ride. Riding the wave: kite positioning for wave riding, generating speed from the wave, bottom turns and top turns, transitioning between wave power and kite power. We fix: kite and board fighting each other, missing wave entry, losing power on the face, getting caught inside.

Additional Skills Available

Board Grabs

Indy, tail grab, nose grab. Adding style to your jumps while maintaining control.

Downloops

Safe progression into powered kite loops. Transition downloops. Landing downloops.

Back Rolls

Your first rotation trick. Progressive approach from small to committed. Safe landing technique.

Strapless Skills

Transitioning to surfboard riding. Wave-optimized techniques. Footwork fundamentals.
