If you are a beginner, your first lesson with us will start on the beach with a trainer kite. After that, you will progressively go to the water with a full size kite as described in the steps below.
From our experience, approximately 9 to 12 hours of kite lessons are needed to reach a level where you can handle your kite and board independently and ride with safety. Each students progress is always individual and may be both faster or slower. The most important is to not skip any steps along the way.
You can book our school sessions regardless if you are new at kitesurfing or if you have already started learning. We will adapt the class to your level.
Trainer Kite: The 3-line Trainer Kite is the ultimate kite to enter the sport of kiting safely. Designed to bring out the kitesurfer within everyone, the Trainer Kite is responsive, smooth and stable with just enough power to ensure you will be ready to progress safely and with ease. The unique 3-line Safety System with Safety Leash guarantees safe, easy re-launch and gives you the ability to land the Trainer kite by yourself. If you feel too much power or are ever unsure all you have to do is let go of the bar and the Trainer will land automatically and wait for you until you re-launch it again. Inflatable kites: We use top of the line inflatable kites on our lessons. These kites are durable, have the latest safety systems, one pump feature and can depower a lot allowing us to use them with ease and safely. These kites help you become a great kiteboarder faster, and this is why we use them.
We have boards of different sizes and shapes so we can adapt them to your progression rhythm and the existing conditions. We have big and small boards with more or less flex, flatter or with more rocker, this way we can choose the one that is best suited to help you progress.
Wetsuits, helmets, life-vests and wind-blockers (can be a tab or thumbnail) (can be a 2nd level tab or thumbnail) On our lessons you will be equipped with a nice and comfortable 3mm wetsuit so you can enjoy your lesson. You have the choice of a full size wetsuit or a shorty. You will always be equipped with a life vest to make sure you stay afloat in any condition. The life vest also acts as a impact protector allowing you to get extra protection while kiting. We have developed our own life-vests perfectly adapted to our school needs. They are flexible and comfortable and fit perfectly under your harness. Alongside with our life-vests we have developed our own school jacket. It serves as a wind-blocker and its pink colour makes you clearly visible on the water. Also, all our instructors wear a similar jacket in blue, making them easily identifiable even on a distance. You will also use a helmet to protect your head.

Safety and guarantee
We don’t teach on land with a power kite. Learning to fly a kite (smaller than 3m2) can be done on land with a small foil. The minute you pump a bigger kite you are supposed to go on the water, that is why you pump it. These inflatable kites (bigger than 3m2) are designed to pull you on the water and launch you in to the air. If this happens unintentionally (when you are learning the probability is big) on land you can end up hurting yourself or others on the landing. For this reason once you pump up the kite the first thing we teach you is how to release it. During your first tries of this power kite you will be on the water and with only water in front of you. This way if you make an unintentional power stroke and get pulled you will land on water with no problem and lot’s of time and space to stop. You should only fly the kite on land during the launching and landing procedure. We will only train the launching and landing once your flying skills allow you to have sufficient control of the kite. Doing power strokes and powering up the kite intentionally or unintentionally on land can be very dangerous.
The spot where we teach has the following characteristics: – Shallow water, depending on the tides. You can stand making your learning progress faster and safer – Sandy bottoms with no rocks to harm you and plenty of space in front of you – No or very small, insignificant waves. This helps you to focus on your board and kite skills and not on the incoming waves. Not having waves helps you by giving you time to prepare for the maneuvers. Waves may turn you around and do not help the learning progress
Rescue and first aid
All our team is trained in first aid. We have all the first aid equipment to take care of any misfortune during the classes. We also have a detailed rescue procedure in case anything happens while you are having classes with us. Fortunately, these are skills we have not yet needed. We are, however, prepared. We teach with the support of a rescue boat, this not only allows us to provide help in case of need but it also speeds up the learning curve. If you have a problem with the kite (kite deflates, doesn’t relaunch, breaks a line, etc) we can quickly assist you. Helping you get back to shore fast with the kite prepared to quickly get you back on the water saving your time for practicing and not swimming.
If for some reason you are not satisfied after completing a lesson, do not hesitate to tell us. Safety and customer satisfaction have an outmost importance to us, and we will do our best to rectify the situation. The quality of our staff and of our center guarantees that you will not find any other with the same characteristics.
